Book Review - The Secret (Rhonda Byrne)

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne is a very controversial book. It have created strong believers and skeptics among readers of this book. The reason is the content of the book cannot be proven using scientific methods. So what is the content that makes it so controversial?

The main content of this book is.... The Law of Attraction. Readers who are familiar with self-help literature would have come across this law. The gist of this law is well summarised by this sentence, "Think Positive, Get Positive." I believe I heard some ooohs and some aaaahs after you have read till here. So what is different about this book compared to other Think Positive book? Well, in this book, the author Rhonda Byrne who have gone through a rough patch in life, have gathered other believers of Law of Attraction, to show you how to apply it in life and at work.

Because of the content of this book and the fact that even skeptics have read the book, with some writing books to dispute it, it has become a great conversation starter and fodder for much thoughts. You know the book is popular when it has been translated to Chinese, Spanish and other languages.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Definitely a good read and for great conversation starter.
